Telecomm. Systems SW Engineer

Vega Networks is an exciting and dynamic organization that is shaping the future of broadband and wireless network connectivity. We are seeking an engineer with expertise in backend server development to join our team. Our team is responsible for developing a cutting-edge software suite used for monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing xDSL and xPON broadband access networks.You will participate in a weekly online meeting with the US-based team and should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Desired Experience and Qualifications include some of:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in C++ or Java development
• Strong analytical skills, capable of investigating and troubleshooting issues based on data
• Familiarity with SQL
• Familiarity with MongoDB
• Exposure to wireless or wired communication environment, such as xDSL or xPON networks
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and Data Mining concepts

Additional desired skills or ability to learn:

• Background in communications, such as an EE or EECS major is preferred
• Experience in data mining, statistical inference, or deep learning techniques is preferred
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for data manipulation is preferred
• Hands-on experience with machine learning packages is preferred
